Quest walkthrough

  1. Talk to High Priest Hollint in Town of Oren . He will tell you that he ordered Priest Cain to arrange the funeral of Jacob. Leave through the northern gate of Oren and you will soon see Cain by the altar at the lake.
  2. For the funeral ceremony he needs the medicinal plant Etc badge black i00 0 Deadman's Herb. To get it, go to the southern entrance of The Enchanted Valley (direct teleport from Hunters Village). By the rock at the southern entrance you'll see Herb Collector Eric . He'll give you the required medicine. Return to Cain.
  3. C With this herb, Cain starts the ceremony. During the ceremony Shilen's Evil Thoughts (81, Lv. 78) appears - kill it. Shilen's Evil Thought is not very strong; you can kill it without buffs.
  4. After killing it you receive Sculpture of Doubt. Talk to Cain again. He will start persuading you to enter the service of Lords of Dawn.
  5. When you click "I want to work with you", you receive Weapon long sword i00 0 Priest Cain's Investigation Report, which you need to hand over to Lords of Dawn Sir Gustav Athebaldt .
  6. He will be pleased with your decision and say there is a lot of work ahead. This completes the quest: you receive the reward and access to the next quest, Seven Signs, Mammon's Contract.
