Quest walkthrough

By talking to the NPC you can get only one crystal into your inventory. To get several, drop the crystal on the ground or put it in the warehouse, then take another one. You can get the task from one of the following NPC:

You cannot raise a crystal's level without this quest.

Crystals come in different kinds — red, blue and green, and they also have levels — from 1 to 15. The crystal's color determines the type of possible enhancement — one of three, matching the crystal's color. Different crystal levels are needed for weapons depending on their power and price. You can find out which crystal level is needed from the blacksmith who inserts bonuses into weapons.

Crystal levels can be raised. To raise a crystal's level, you need to kill certain monsters. When a monster has less than 50% HP left, use a special skill on it, then land the final blow on the monster. You can enhance only one crystal at a time, so there should be only one in your inventory.

On lower-level monsters, crystal enhancement works up to a certain point; then you need to look for stronger mobs. Crystals above level 10 can be enhanced only on epic bosses, some raid bosses, or the dinosaurs of T-Rex. When enhancing crystals on epic bosses, the crystals of the whole party are raised if the party landed the final blow. When leveling crystals on regular raid bosses, the crystals may be raised with a ~5% chance for the whole party if the party landed the final blow. Don't forget to activate the crystal when the monster's HP is below 50%.

Soul Crystals: Level 14 — These are crystals for S-80 Dynasty weapons. If you level them on the raid boss Baylor (level 60) (from Crystal Caverns (), there's a chance that Soul Crystal turn into Cursed Soul Crystal. Such corrupted crystals can be transformed back into normal ones at Legendary Blacksmith Shadai in Hellbound ().

When you raise a crystal's level, the following can happen:

  1. Nothing happened. Perhaps this monster type is not on the list, or you killed the monster incorrectly (didn't land the last hit or didn't use the crystal at the right moment).
  2. The crystal resonated. Remove extra crystals from your inventory — only one can be upgraded at a time.
  3. The crystal refused to level up. Pick higher-level mobs from the list and try them.
  4. The crystal leveled up.
