Lineage 2 - Ertheia, Patch Notes
Contents |
Goddess of Destruction - Ertheia
!!!Attention
This is a short patch note for the update, containing only a small part of the changes.
Characters
- A new race has been added to the game — the Ertheia. Characters of this race look like big-eyed young girls with fluffy ears, and only female characters can be created. It looks rather like an attempt to sit on every chair at once so that every category of fan is satisfied.
- The race has 2 branches, like all the others: a fighter class and a mage class, each of which can go through 3 class transfers, at levels 40, 76 and 85.
- Mage classes can't wear shields or sigils.
- For the Ertheia race, pop-up skills for combo chains aren't shown if the target is knocked down or knocked into the air. However, all awakened classes near Ertheia classes will have pop-up combo skills, even if the character was knocked down or knocked back by an Ertheia class.
- Ertheia skills can't be enchanted.
- All cloaks worn by the Ertheia are displayed as small wings.
- New hairstyles and face models have been added to Beauty Shop for the Ertheia.
- Only 14 visual armor models were made for the Ertheia, so almost all low-grade armor will look the same on them.
- The following conditions apply to the Ertheia race regarding subclasses and dual classes:
- The Ertheia can't take a subclass.
- A dual class can be taken after reaching level 85, class transfer 3 and completing the quest Winds of Fate: Encroaching Shadows.
- An Ertheia's dual class immediately becomes level 85 with the final class.
- An Ertheia's dual class can be any class except another Ertheia class, Tyrr Maestro (Tyrr Maestro) and Iss Dominator (Iss Dominator).
- The Ertheia can't certify subclass skills.
- Two new stats have been added — LUC and CHA:
- Luck (Luck) - this stat is responsible for luck and affects the following: enchant chance, crafting, spoil.
- On a lucky spoil/enchant, a four-leaf clover animation is shown.
- On a lucky spoil, the character gets double the items.
- Charisma (Charisma) - this stat affects practically all of the character's stats, such as P. Atk., P. Def., Attack Spd., M. Atk., M. Def., Casting Spd., Max HP, Max MP, and Max CP.
- Points for the new stats are distributed as follows:
| LUC | CHA | |
|---|---|---|
| Humans | 34 | 41 |
| Elves | 34 | 41 |
| Dark Elves | 32 | 43 |
| Orcs | 32 | 43 |
| Dwarves | 35 | 40 |
| Kamael | 33 | 42 |
| Ertheia | 34 | 41 |
- Kamael characters can now wear heavy armor or robes regardless of level and grade.
- The waiting time for deleting a character from the account is now 1 day.
- The Exp bonus for characters in a party of 2 to 6 people has been increased.
- The penalty on the amount of Exp received now applies at a difference of 6 levels or more. If the difference is more than 10 levels, no Exp is credited at all.
System changes
Alchemy
- Alchemy will be available to Ertheia characters after their first class transfer and on reaching level 40.
- Enchanted and augmented items can't be used in alchemy.
- If the character is in combat or has set up a private store, Alchemy is unavailable.
- Alchemy can be accessed from the inventory.
- Alchemy is divided into two types — Combination and Transmutation:
- Combination:
- Any items that have a price can take part in combination, except quest items.
- Combination requires at least 1 item and at most 3.
- When using three items, you'll be able to add Elcyum Crystal to improve the final result.
- The reward includes Air Stones and, with a small chance, Tempest Stones. There's a chance to get a double reward in the form of Air Stones along with the regular one. Both of these ingredients will be useful in Transmutation.
- Transmutation:
- Transmutation lets you turn one or more items into another item.
- There are many different Transmutation recipes, which can be learned from the NPC Alchemists.
- The NPC alchemist Zephyra is in Faeron Village (), and in Rune Township it's the alchemist Veruti.
- The skill has 4 ranks in total — Elementary (Basic), Intermediate (Advanced), Advanced (Expanded) and Master (Master). Getting the Master rank skill requires Alchemic Tome, which drops only from epic raid bosses.
- There are 4 types of items that can be used in Transmutation — Potions, Scrolls, Dyes and Life Stones.
- If Transmutation fails, only some of the items used are returned.
- New dyes for the Luck and Charisma stats can be obtained through Transmutation.
- Combination:
Path to Awakening
- Leveling to class transfer 4 has become even faster. Every new character will get the item Fated Support Box in their inventory.
- The chest contains a 60-day set of armor, weapons and jewelry; it can be opened on getting class transfer 2, and again with each new grade (levels 52, 61, 76, 81).
- The chest can't be dropped or destroyed until level 84.
- Every new character will also be rewarded with a Traveler's Hat and a wooden horse mount. Very cute. Really.
Subclass
- Subclass choice no longer has race restrictions:
- You can now choose any subclass, except a specific class the character already has as the main class or another subclass.
- But again, this doesn't apply to the Maestro, Dominator classes and Ertheia classes.
- Elves and Dark Elves can finally take each other's subclasses.
- Kamael can now take all other races as subclasses, not just their own.
Cross-server sieges
- The requirements for taking part in cross-server sieges have changed as follows:
- Clans that don't own a castle can now take part. The clan leader can teleport to sieges from Mermoden in any town.
- Non-leader characters of level 99 can teleport to sieges on Sundays.
- The maximum number of participants is now more than 70.
- Dimensional Wizard in Heine now appears opposite Adventure Guildsman.
Olympiad
- Ertheia classes can now take part in the Olympiad.
- Grade R-95 equipment has been removed from the rewards.
- New class cloaks and new potions have been added as participation rewards.
- The new class cloaks can be bought for
20000 Olympiad Token. The cloak lasts 20 days.

Locations
Changes in existing locations
Nightmare Kamaloka
- Nightmare Kamaloka (Nightmare Kamaloka) is a reworked instance for characters of level 99+.
- Characters of levels 97-99 can enter in a party of 2 to 7 people. You can enter by talking to Kurtiz in Town of Aden.
- The instance closes if the last boss isn't defeated within 35 minutes.
- The instance entry timer resets at 6:30 a.m.
- Progress through the location is sequential: killing bosses one by one gives access to the rooms with the next bosses.
- The reward for completing the Kamaloka can be received after killing the very last boss.
Blazing Swamp
- Blazing Swamp (Blazing Swamp) — the location has been reworked for solo hunting by characters above level 97.
- The types and stats of monsters in the location now depend on the number of monsters killed in the pit zone.
- While hunting in pit zones, a window showing kill progress will appear. Such zones are marked with a pulsating ground texture. Each pit has its own point counter, and points for killed monsters are counted with a delay of 5-10 seconds. Each monster killed counts as one point. The maximum number of points is 200.
- After 200 points are accumulated, the pit enters the Defense Reduction stage, and the monsters get a 10-minute debuff that lowers P.Def. and M.Def. by 20%
- After 10 minutes, the next stage, Ifrit's Wrath, begins: monsters get increased resistance to all types of attacks, and the reward of Exp and SP for kills doubles.
- Depending on the number of monsters killed during the Ifrit's Wrath stage, characters get the debuff Fire Stigma of level 1 to 5, which randomly causes the monster Blazing Saurus to appear.
- The following raid bosses have been removed from the location: Storm Winged Naga (lv. 35), Menacing Palatanos (lv. 44), Kernon's Faithful Servant Kelone (lv. 35), Death Lord Ipos (lv. 75) and Meanas Anor (lv. 79).
- The location of the raid boss Flamestone Giant (lv. 79) has been changed.

- Characters below level 99 can now enter the island, but to do so they need the temporary item Visitation Scroll: Hellbound, which can be bought from Black Marketeer of Mammon.
- The price of Scroll of Escape: Hellbound has been changed, and characters below level 99 can now use it.
- The amount of Exp and SP for killing monsters in Beleth's Magic Circle (Beleth's Magic Megaliths) has been increased.
- The adena drop chance has been increased, but the amount has been reduced.
- Enhanced bosses will appear with a small chance in the location Crystal Caverns:
