Attribute damage table
The data are based on tests by Korean players and tests on PTS NA-Off. All tests were done with physical skills enchanted to +1. Indirect data (damage jumps during the tests) suggest that every 1 enchants, including the first, give the skill +1 to the attribute.
Chart #1. Attack.
Chart of damage increase against a target with 0 defense to the attacker's attribute that the skill is enchanted for, as the weapon's attack attribute grows.
The chart clearly shows that there are several "stages" of damage change:
- 0 attribute or an attack with a skill that has no attribute: base damage (*1)
- 20 attribute or an attack with a magic skill: damage with a 8% bonus.
- Linear damage growth as the attribute rises from 20 to 90.
- 90~149 attribute gives a fixed bonus of 40% base damage.
- 150~299 attribute gives a fixed bonus of 70% base damage.
- 300 or more attribute gives a constant bonus of 100% of base damage.
Chart #2. Defense.
Chart of damage reduction from an attacker using normal hits with 150 and 300 attribute in the weapon, against a target whose defense to the attacker's attribute gradually increases.
The following conclusions can be drawn from the charts:
- *2 damage from a weapon with 300 attribute will be dealt only to a target with no defense against that attribute, or if the difference between the attacker's actual attribute and the target's actual defense is 300 or more.
- If the target has more attribute defense than can be covered by Surrenders (to lower the target's attribute defense) and buffs or skill enchants (to raise your own attribute attack), it makes sense to raise the weapon's attribute above 150 by exactly that uncovered amount, since you won't be able to exceed *1.7 of base damage.
- For maximum protection against a weapon with 150 attribute, 156 defense is enough (190 against mage attacks). Damage then drops by ~41% compared to the "defenseless" state. In that case the damage difference with defense =1~100 is ~17.5% (with damage decreasing smoothly as defense rises).
- For maximum protection against a weapon with 300 attribute, 312 defense is enough (346 against mage attacks). Damage then drops by 50% compared to the "defenseless" state. In that case the damage difference with defense =1~150 is 15%; with defense 151~250 it is 30% (with damage decreasing smoothly as defense rises).
