Lineage 2 Interlude, Patch Notes

Player character improvements
The amount of XP lost on death has been changed. For levels 1-75 it's unchanged. After level 76, this amount decreases relative to the standard with each level.
When a "red" character dies, the chance of getting a penalty has been greatly increased.
The size of the death penalty (reduced combat stats) has been increased.
Weapon upgrade (Weapon Augmentation)
It's the insertion of a "Life Stone" stone into a weapon, which gives the weapon additional stats.
The weapon augmentation system was added so players can add new bonuses to their weapons with the help of a Blacksmith (Blacksmith). Augmentation requires a Life Stone (Life Stone) and Gemstones (Gemstone). You can augment a weapon with the blacksmith NPC in every town except the starting ones and Gludin.
Life Stone also come in different grades: No Grade, Mid-Grade, High-Grade, Top-Grade. Each of them has levels 46-76.
The bonuses obtained from augmentation depend directly on the grade of Life Stone. The level of Life Stone determines the quality of the bonus, but the bonus itself is chosen completely at random. Augmentation chance – 100%
Any weapon from C grade to S can be augmented. C Grade and B Grade weapons require Gemstone D, and A Grade and S Grade weapons require Gemstone C.
Life Stones can be obtained by hunting mobs. The chance of getting a high-level Life Stone is higher from a Raid Boss than from an ordinary mob. A character can't insert a Life Stone into a weapon if the stone's level is higher than the character's level.
The Life Stone's level must match the grade of the weapon it's used for. For example, a level 46 Stone can't be used for an A-grade weapon, but a level 76 Stone can be used for C grade.
To augment, choose the weapon, Life Stone and Gemstones in the augmentation window. Drag the required components from your inventory into this window. Press the "Augment" button.
The blacksmith can also remove an augmentation for a fee.
Bonus types
- Increased base stats (STR, CON, INT, MEN)
- Increased combat stats (P.Atk., P.Def., M.Atk., M.Def., HP, MP, CP, Accuracy, Evasion, Critical Chance, etc.)
- Extra skill (Active, Passive, Chance skill)
When equipping a weapon that requires higher expertise than the character has (grade penalty), the same rules apply to augmentation as to SA: augmentation and SA won't work in that case.
When a weapon is augmented, the corresponding prefix is added to its name.
An augmented weapon can't be sold, transferred or dropped (even on PK), and can't be put into the clan warehouse. However, it can be placed in the private warehouse. If the Life Stone is removed from the weapon, all these restrictions are lifted.
Life Stones can be inserted into a weapon with an SA, or an enchanted weapon. A Life Stone doesn't affect inserting an SA or enchanting, so you can insert an SA or enchant the weapon after augmentation too. Removing the Life Stone doesn't affect the SA or enchantment.
You can find out the augmentation color by clicking the weapon and looking at the color of the text describing the augmentation effect in its description. Yellow text means a "yellow" augmentation, blue text a "blue" one, purple a "purple" one and red a "red" augmentation.
The augmentation color determines which augmentation effects the weapon gets: Yellow augmentation (the worst) — base stat bonuses only. Blue augmentation (poor) — base stat bonuses and possibly a chance skill. Purple augmentation (average) — base stat bonuses and a chance skill or an active skill. Red augmentation (the best) — base stat bonuses and a chance skill, an active skill or a passive skill.
Augmented weapons can't be used to craft duals.
Augmented weapons can't be exchanged at the Blacksmith of Mammon.

Books for Celestial Shield, Invocation, Summon Attract Cubic, Aura Flash and Summon Swoop Cannon can be bought in Rune, Goddard or the Ivory Tower. Players can buy them every hour.
Swoop Cannon
Owners of warsmith characters who reach level 68 gain the ability to summon Swoop Cannon, a new siege summon. Swoop Cannon is a siege golem of the attacking side. Castle defenders can't use it. It differs from the old siege golems in that it can use its skills without switching modes.
It can only be summoned in a siege zone.
Summoning requires 46 A-grade crystals. After summoning, it continuously uses B Grade Gemstones, 21 per minute.
Swoop Cannon attacks its target; this is a ranged attack that hits all characters and NPCs within a certain radius, including allies and neutrals. If characters outside the siege zone are within the area of effect, they take the same damage, and you may get PK penalties.
Projectiles cannot hit walls, gates or flags.
The skills Swoop Long Shot and Swoop Middle Shot can't be used inside the castle, from the walls or outside the siege zone.
The golem's attack consumes Flash Gunpowder. Flash Gunpowder; it can be bought in Rune and Schuttgart.
Swoop Cannon disappears when destroyed.
Skills of the castle-owning clan
New skills have been added to the circlet that members of a castle-owning clan can wear, as well as to the corresponding CL's crown.
Lord’s Crown can be obtained from the Chamberlain, who also sells circlets for regular members. Clan academy members can't wear these circlets.
Residential Shock Immunity: Strongly but briefly increases resistance to "shock attacks".
Clan Gate: Creates a portal for summoning clan members. The caster can't move while the portal is active. The skill Clan Gate appears in the list of active skills when wearing Lord’s Crown. After the skill is used, a summoning field appears and the CL loses the ability to move. Meanwhile, all clan members get a system message[font=Verdana] that a portal has appeared. For 2 minutes they can talk to Court Magician inside the castle and teleport to the CL.
If the castle is lost, the crown is lost, and the skill automatically disappears from the list of active skills.

Also, the lasting healing buff will be placed in a buff slot.

Primeval Isle
Primeval Isle, an island full of strange creatures, has been added south of the town of Rune. You can get there by ship from Rune harbor, or by swimming.
The island is meant for hunting by high-level players.
Players can use the monsters to level up SA, for a clan reputation quest, and for a quest to find new ingredients for A-grade weapons.
The Boss Monster is the beast known as Sailren. To enter Sailren's lair, you must complete the quest "Attack Sailren"
You can find blue, Green and Red "primitive" Crystals by killing monsters. They can be used to add 50k, 100k or 200k points to your SP.
Tyrannosaurs can go berserk during battle. Using trap skills while they're berserk makes hunting them easier.
An NPC located at the Primeval Isle Wharf will bring dead party members to your location for a fee.
The escape from Primeval Isle lies through the Primeval Isle Wharf.
The Primeval Isle Wharf is a peace zone.
Trap system
Trap skills that greatly reduce the attack abilities of the Primeval Isle Tyrannosaurs have been added.
Using these skills requires Elrokian Trap and Capture Stones.
Once you finish the quest "Elrokian Hunters", which starts near the Primeval Isle Wharf, you can get "Elrokian Trap" as a reward.
Capture Stones can be obtained from NPCs in the far south of the Primeval Isle. If you accidentally deleted the trap you got for the quest, you can get another from the NPC.
Items
Top A-grade weapons have been added. A level 12 crystal is needed to insert a special ability (SA) into these weapons. You can find the components and recipes (60%) by taking quests on the Primeval Isle.
New accessories have been added: Eye Patch, Angel Circlet, Demon Circlet, Pirate Hat, Scar and Butterfly Ornament. The new accessories can be obtained at the Festival of Darkness, the Olympiad and from some Raid Bosses.
Some items that can't be transferred or dropped can now be put into warehouse.
The reuse of the Elixir of Mental Strength will be changed from 10 minutes to 5.
The reuse of the Elixir of Mental Strength and the Elixir of Life is now the same for the same grade. But after using an A-grade Elixir of Life, you can't use an A-grade Elixir of Mental Strength or an A-grade Elixir of Life for 5 minutes.
After an elixir is placed in the shortcut window, the reuse indicator appears only after use.
Phantom weapons (Shadow weapon)
Temporary weapons with a short lifetime have been added to make different weapons easier to access. Shadow weapons have the same properties and look as regular ones, but have a limited lifetime.
When a Shadow weapon's lifetime or mana reaches 0, it's removed from the inventory.
The remaining time or mana is consumed while the weapon is equipped, and isn't consumed when it isn't
Attention: If the item is equipped/unequipped many times, the remaining time or mana is consumed faster. Logging in/out also increases consumption. Shadow weapons can't be transferred via trade, drop or the warehouse (the one shared by characters on one account), and can only be kept in the private warehouse. They also can't be enchanted, augmented, given an SA or crystallized.
Weapons obtained via Shadow Weapon Exchange Coupon have a shorter lifetime or less mana than the same weapon from the weapon shop.
Shadow weapons can take the form of various B, C or D grade weapons.
Players who complete a class transfer quest get a ticket that can be exchanged for a Shadow weapon: D Grade Shadow Weapon Exchange Coupon for the first class and C Grade Shadow Weapon Exchange Coupon for the second.
Shadow Weapon exchange coupon can't be sold, dropped or given away. If you give Shadow Weapon exchange coupon to the grand master of your class, he'll give you Shadow Weapon of your choice.
B and C Grade weapons (apparently Shadow ones; they forgot to say) can be bought in town from the weapon merchant.
Shadow weapons can be bought by characters of level 40 or higher, and the weapon type changes depending on level.
Bloody sword Akamanah
A new cursed dual weapon — the Blood Sword Akamanah (Blood Sword Akamanah) — has been added.
Item appearance, use and PvP rules are identical to Demonic Sword Zariche. Akamanah or Zariche; they automatically disappear 24 hours after the last PK with the sword. A system message shows the remaining time by showing how much time has passed since the last PK.
When a player holding Akamanah or Zariche dies, the drop chance of each sword and the auto-disappear time change to 50:50
When a player holding Zariche and a player holding Akamanah attack each other, the CP level of both drops to 0.
When a player who owns Akamanah finds Zariche, the picked-up Zariche automatically disappears and the Akamanah level increases by 1. And vice versa.
When you pick up Zariche or Akamanah, 2 extra skills appear automatically. The owner of Zariche or Akamanah gets the skills Void Flow and Void Burst in the active skills list. The cursed weapon must be equipped to use these skills
