How to choose a class

In Lineage 2, each race has its own set of classes, but their combat roles are similar. First decide what you want to do in the game, then pick a class with that role from a race you like.

FAQ

Which class should a beginner choose?
For relaxed solo leveling, people most often pick summoners (Warlock, Phantom Summoner, Elemental Summoner) or archers: they hit from afar and rarely die. Tanks, healers and supports are easier to play in a party or clan.

How do guides for different chronicles differ?
Skills, class balance and leveling spots changed from chronicle to chronicle. Pick the guide for your server's chronicle: Interlude, Gracia, Freya or High Five. If there's no guide for your chronicle, look at the closest one in time and check against the class skills.
