Clan wars

Clan
Alliance

Lineage II is a PvP (Player versus Player) game, and it's simply impossible to imagine it without clan wars, mass battles and small skirmishes.

To declare war on another clan, you need:

To declare war on a clan yourself, you must be the leader of a clan meeting the requirements above. If you're not the clan leader, they can give you the corresponding privileges — if, of course, they trust you as much as themselves.

Declaring war is a very serious step for a clan, and such a decision is usually not made on a whim. But if you've decided that war can no longer be avoided, type the command /clanwarstart in the chat line and, after a space, the name of the clan you want to see as your enemy from now on.

There's another way to declare war: open the clan Main Menu (Alt+N), press the "Declare War" button and in the window that appears enter the name of the clan you've decided to start a war with.

All this can be done without the opponent's consent.

Members of both clans who are on-line at the moment war is declared will see a system message notifying them that the war has started.

A single clan can declare no more than 30 wars. However, there's no limit on the number of wars other clans can declare on one clan (every clan on the server could start a war with yours).

However much you might want to, you can't start a war with a clan that's in the same alliance as you. Alas, if the desire is that strong, you'll have to leave or dissolve the alliance. You also can't join an alliance if your clan is at war with at least one of its members.

Wondering exactly who your clan is at war with? To satisfy your curiosity, there are 3 magic commands:

The clan Main Menu has a similar function. Press the "War Info" button and you'll see 2 tabs: "Declared" and "Under Attack". The first shows the same as /attacklist, and the second the same as typing /underattacklist.

There are two kinds of wars: one-sided and two-sided.

In a one-sided war the usual PvP/PK. rules apply. But there's one exception: the clan that declared war loses 1/4 of the XP normally lost (for example, -4% -> -1%). Clan reputation points don't change on death or when members of these clans are killed. Above the names of members of clans with which you have a one-sided war, you'll see a symbol of one fist.

In a two-sided war, the attacker can never become a PK (Player Killer) by killing a member of the enemy clan. For a killed enemy, even one not "flagged", 1 is added to your PvP counter. And 1 is also added to clan reputation points. Above the names of members of clans with which your clan has a two-sided war, there will be an identifying symbol of two fists.

If you can't handle the war, or there's some other reason, you can withdraw from the war with the command /clanwarstop or with the "End War" button in the clan Main Menu (Alt+N), entering the name of the clan you no longer want to be at war with.

It's important to know that a war can't be canceled if even one member of your clan is in combat state (whether it's PvP, leveling or just fooling around — it doesn't matter!). Just like declaring it, ending a war can be done without the other side's consent. As with the start of a war, a system message will notify all members of these clans who are on-line at the time.

If the war is withdrawn by both sides, you and your opponents are no longer enemies, and the penalties for killing will be much more costly.
