Strider
Striders are the next evolutionary stage of Hatchling.
Getting the Strider pet
When Hatchling reaches level 55, you can complete the quest Little Wing’s Big Adventure to turn it into a Strider. But you don't have to do it at level 55 (you can wait). When you finish the quest, Hatchling becomes a Strider of the same level. For example, a level 65 Hatchling becomes a level 65 Strider.
Strider stats
If you and your Strider differ significantly in level, penalties start to apply. If the player is 5 levels above or below their Strider, the Strider's physical attack is halved. Each additional level of difference reduces P. Atk by 5%. If the player is 10 levels below the Strider, its speed is halved. Another penalty kicks in if the hunger bar drops below 50%. A starving dragon slows down by about 50%, and you'll have trouble mounting and dismounting it (mount, dismount).
On the other hand, if the Strider is the same level as you, its stats are improved: more P. Atk, M. Atk, etc.
