Officer Tepios at the Seed of Infinity explains that the undead are trying to revive Ekimus in order to activate the entire Seed. Quest walkthrough

1. Talk to Officer Tepios in Seed of Infinity .
2. Your task is to kill all Soul Devourer (lv. 1, 86) trying to reach Heart of Death.
3. Return to Tepios and receive your reward.

Reward

• Vesper Noble Enhance Stone - with this item you can upgrade pieces of Vesper armor to Vesper Noble with Maestro Ishuma in Gludio Airship Field.

• This quest is best done in 2-3 parties joined in a command channel. The command channel leader must lead them into the instance.
• You'll need to kill the monsters and Ekimus.
• In the Heart of Infinity you can't resurrect the usual way; for that you need to buy special items from Soul Trader Asyatei — Structure Scarab for Tear of a Freed Soul.
