This quest opens a saga of quests linked by a single storyline and the mysticism of the Forest of the Dead. As you go through them, the secrets of this sinister place will be revealed — a place inhabited by the restless souls of necromancers and dead warriors who never found peace in the other world. So, let's begin...

Quest walkthrough

  1. Talk to Mysterious Wizard in Forest of the Dead . He stands at the teleport point from the gatekeeper of Rune Township. He will ask you to deal with the ghost that can be found at the gravestone near the warlock.
  2. Click Tombstone to the left of the wizard. On the tombstone you will find a spell for summoning the ghost.
  3. Ghost of von Hellmann will appear, talk to you and explain that he can't rest because he doesn't know what happened to his family. As soon as you agree to help, Ghost of von Hellmann's Page appears and leads you to a ruined house (follow the road south). It's not far at all.
  4. Inside the house you will find Broken Bookshelf. You'll see a closed box and a book the ghost needs. The book is covered in red stains, but fragments of text can be made out inside. You put the book back and notice a crucifix Etc stone gray i00 0 Cross of Einhasad lying on the floor. You pick it up and hear a whisper in your ears. The voice tells you to take the crucifix to the temple in Rune Township .
  5. Talk to the three priests Einhasad Temple on the top floor. The order doesn't matter, but only the last, third one will say that the crucifix must be taken to High Priest Innocentin . He is in the mages' guild, on the first floor.
  6. Go down to the lower floor and talk to High Priest Innocentin. The crucifix will remind him of his dreams; he will return Etc scroll white i00 0 Cross of Einhasad and send you to Grand Magister Tifaren. The quest ends here, and you receive the reward.
