Octavis guide
The guide was written in the Epeisodion. chronicles
Octavis was one of the leaders of the rebellion against Einhasad, but Angel Paulina persuaded him to betray his comrades. He was rewarded for his betrayal by being allowed to become the guardian of Orbis Temple, a sanctuary for great heroes. Still, he was not allowed to rest on his laurels: the growing forces of Shilen's evil woke Octavis from a long sleep.

In this zone you can complete:

Octavis's Bracelet. - Extreme mode: Resurrected Owner of Hall Resurrected Owner of Hall, rewarding
Bottle of Octavis' Soul, which is useful for enhancing the bracelet. - In extreme mode you also get Octavis Crystal for changing Octavis jewelry.
- The boss itself can drop
Trace of Decaying Darkness, which can be exchanged with Jonah for a hat.
Farming zone
On entering the zone you find yourself in a small room with a corridor leading to the hall where Octavis is. In this room you can leave unneeded windows and buff up calmly before farming.
The door between the corridor and the hall of Octavis opens as you approach and closes as soon as the boss appears. Killing the hard stages through the door, as before, no longer works. Once the door closes, a teleport activates roughly halfway down the corridor to the hall; step into it and you'll be inside the hall itself.
The hall of Octavis is a round room. Right across from the entrance stairs is a balcony with stairs on both sides, and the corners by these stairs are a very convenient place to hold the boss in the second and third stages. There are also several ledges that healers can hide behind, and many doors. In the second stage the doors open and Octavis' Gladiators and Beasts of the Arena come out of them.
First stage
The chariot carrying Octavis starts running in a circle. Your task is to bring the HP bar of Octavis' Beast below half; after that you can target the raid boss himself. One of the DDs keeps the HP bar of Octavis' Beast below half, with help when needed, and it's best if its HP doesn't rise above a third. If the HP bar of Octavis' Beast rises above half, the boss can no longer be targeted. Octavis' Beast can be slowed and sometimes even stopped with tank and dagger skills. It will resist, though, knocking back players who stand in its way,
Lightning strikes the center of the circle, damaging those around and affecting the HP regeneration of Octavis' Beast. The more damage you deal to the boss, the faster Octavis' Beast regenerates. Players geared for their level won't have much trouble with the lightning. Octavis himself uses no tricky skills.
Normal and extreme farming in this stage are the same and differ only in the monsters' HP and the beast's regeneration speed.
Among the finer points: summoners should use ranged summons, which deal constant damage and keep debuffs up on both the boss and the beast. Don't forget that Dark Devour affects not only healing but regeneration too.

Second stage
After a heart-wrenching cutscene of the chariot crashing, we see Octavis standing in the center of the hall, now without the chariot. It's time to slowly (under Silent Move) back away from him and take up convenient positions. Both normal and extreme Octavis are easiest to kill in one of the corners under the balcony with the stairs. You can hold the boss there even without a tank, and if you pack tightly into the corner, you'll be knocked back less when the boss uses Hero's Rage.
During the fight these monsters appear: Octavis' Gladiators, Beasts of the Arena and Cursed Heroes of the Arena. Octavis' Gladiators, as already mentioned, come out of the niches behind the doors around the hall, and the Beasts of the Arena appear from there too. Octavis' Gladiators are dangerous mainly because of their crits on characters. In the center of the circle a Decaying Darkness appears, and Cursed Heroes of the Arena crawl out of it. They transform players into their likeness. The transformation can be removed with Prior State, but that skill has a cooldown.
Octavis uses
Master's Blessing - Pa'agrio's Soul, which has a chance to turn you to stone for a few seconds, and
Herb of Life, which knocks back and immobilizes everyone in range. Unlike
Master's Blessing - Pa'agrio's Soul,
Herb of Life can be cleansed easily. The skills' radius is a bit smaller than the range of a heal chain, and you can also hide from them behind the various ledges. Octavis uses the skills often, sometimes one after another, almost without cooldown. He also often breaks away from the tanks and DDs and starts chasing ranged DDs and healers. In that case it's best to calmly bring him back to the corner.
Normal raid: If everyone is in the corner by the time Octavis' Gladiators appear, a couple of the monsters may not even notice you. Beasts of the Arena appear in waves of several, gather in the center and attack those hitting Octavis. They are dangerous mainly in numbers and are easily handled by AoE DD. Cursed Heroes of the Arena: several of them appear, but if you don't run around near them, they stand in one place for the whole stage.
Extreme raid: Many more monsters appear, and they all try to come to the boss's aid. It helps to have a couple of quick tanks who will lead the monsters in circles away from Octavis. Tanks may get stunned by Octavis' Gladiators or transformed by Cursed Heroes of the Arena, so I don't recommend sending them off without healers (on potions). Cursed Heroes of the Arena that break away from the tanks should be destroyed on approach. Beasts of the Arena can be killed right under Octavis, while Octavis' Gladiators are better held off and returned to the tanks.
The task of this stage is to kill the boss while heroically outlasting
Herb of Life and
Master's Blessing - Pa'agrio's Soul. This is probably the longest stage.
Third stage
Octavis also appears in the center of the room, but now without his helmet and part of his armor. He is accompanied by Octavis' Chief Curators. Octavis' Chief Curators don't stay in one place: on the order of Octavis they come to him and then disperse. While the monsters are gathered in one spot, you can stun or sleep them. Sometimes one of the DDs takes quite a beating from the boss, but this stage usually passes without casualties.
You can simply kill the monsters in every stage, but that requires a large command channel. We kill normal Octavis with one party and extreme with two; the remaining slots are filled with rhapsodies. The DDs are mostly summoners, with a couple of ranged DDs. The drop is mostly
Octavis' Shirt and various scrolls.
