Destroyer (High Five) guide — Destroyer
Destroyer class guide for Lineage 2 High Five: how to get the class, which skills to take, what to wear and where to level.

Chapter 1
So... If you've created an orc, get ready right away: you'll need a lot of money, since the Destroyer is a very expensive character (heavy gear, lots of weapons, extra sets to swap to for limit skills, etc...
- 1-20.
- Thanks to the Korean devs' innovations, these levels fly by in an hour at most. Right after creating a character and clicking "Play", open your inventory and use the scroll to teleport to Kamael Village. Talk to Newbie Helper there and run his quests. Elementary, in short. If you didn't buy any extra junk and sold resources to the shop/dealers, by level 20 you'll have about 60-80 thousand adena - spend it all on Chinese D-grade heavy gear, a sword and jewelry.
- Level 18 - turn it in Path of the Orc Raider
- 20-40. Raider.
- Equipment:
- Weapons -
Common Item - Titan Hammer
- Gear - regular gear from the shop, the one with more P. Def., and regular jewelry.
- Weapons -
- Quest done, class taken. D grade bought.
- So. You have gear. What next? At these levels it's best to level on raid bosses and go to Kamaloka — that's our duty now. If all goes well, these levels will fly by in a couple of hours (especially if you're on the official Russian server and have a premium account).
- So. Reached level 40, bought C grade. Go-go-go do the Destroyer quest :)
- Doing the quest Good Work's Reward
- or quests Trial of the Challenger, Testimony of Glory and Test of the Champion
- Equipment:
Chapter 2
- 40-61.
- So. You're a Destroyer. Tons of adrenaline, awareness of your own awesomeness, blah-blah-blah.
- There's one thing you must remember. You ABSOLUTELY MUST.
- You are NOT a Tank: You have no hate skills, roots or similar stuff, so feel free to send away those who want to see you as a creature guaranteeing their immortality in PvE.
- A tricky question: where to go leveling?
- 40-52: level with a Polearm in Tanor Canyon together with a picked-up skinny little human named Bishop.
The scheme: put on Heavy gear (so you don't kick the bucket under a mass of mobs), take the polearm, place the Bishop near the boulders and run around the canyon gathering 3-5 packs of mobs, run back to the Bishop, stand with your back to a rock and hammer the mobs with the polearm, also using the skill
Whirlwind (36) on cooldown. As you gain experience (and I don't mean %) you can increase the number of mob packs. For example, by level 46-48 I was calmly pulling 10-12 packs. - 52-58. The Forbidden Gateway. Teleport from Town of Aden. The mobs here are fierce, wow. We also level with a polearm, but now in a party, which ideally should have: you, Berserker, Berserker, a healer (Bishop, Elven Elder, Shillien Elder). The XP won't disappoint you, I assure you. Level here with a polearm too, the same way as in Tanor Canyon.
- Tattoos.
- At these levels you can probably only use the classic option: +5 STR, -5 CON (STR+5, CON-5); I don't think I need to explain that an orc has plenty of heroic strength and adding more only improves things.
- Equipment
- 40-52.
Common Item - Dwarven Hammer,
Plated Leather; here it's worth taking a decent set, since the +4 STR -1 CON bonus speaks for itself; jewelry is regular from the shop - 52-61.
Ice Storm Hammer Focus; you don't have to change your gear unless you level with a polearm on trains. - 40-61.
Orcish Poleaxe. If you have lots of money, at 52 you can buy a B-grade polearm.
- 40-52.
Chapter 3
- 61-75
- Let's continue.
- A grade. The start of what some call the "true orc" :)
- Armor. It's not that simple here. There are two options: Tallum and Majestic. Let's describe them:
Majestic.
- First, it's top A, i.e. the best P. Def. for the grade.
- Second, the bonuses: P. Atk. +4%, Accuracy +3, increased Stun resistance by 50%, STR+2, CON-2. A very good bonus. As you've noticed, we don't really need CON, since our base one is already among the highest in the game, but STR is quite critical in any situation, be it PvP or PvE. The extra bonuses are also very nice, especially the 50% stun resistance. It helps a lot in PvP against melee/archers. And against mobs with stuns too...
- BUT! Majestic is total junk; read below for why.
Tallum (my choice).
- Atk. Spd. +8%, weight limit without penalty +5759, chance of Poison/Bleeding -80%, STR+2, CON-2
- P. Def. is lower than Majestic's, but there's one indisputable bonus - the PRICE! If you look around the market (I play on Atlant), you'll see that Majestic costs 80kk adena... Didn't get it? EIGHTY MILLION ADENA. I! Bought Tallum for 6kk from an old bearded Aden bum and still run in it. Take TM and don't sweat it, OK? (it also gives +8% Atk. Spd., so don't even think twice).
- The Dark Crystal and Nightmare sets aren't even worth considering, since they're tank sets that also cost a lot of money.
- You can buy plain jewelry from the merchants, and ideally get
Necklace of Frintezza — epic jewelry; it costs around 80-100kk, gives really cool bonuses and will stay with you to the end. - Weapons.
- For leveling:
Halberd Wide Blow. SA, in my opinion, for wider polearm reach. I don't like Health — there's
Battle Roar (121) or Bless the Body, and for Guidance there are two auras, one of which eats only 1 MP per tick. - For fun: a two-hander. It's complicated here. If you're rich, then
Sword of Ipos Focus is the best. Personally, having a
Great Sword Focus enchanted to +9, I ran with that.
- For leveling:
- So. Leveling spots.
- Well, it's simple here. Go to Catacomb of the Witch. Tons of money! Though the XP isn't great.
- Now for normal people. Ancient Battleground. Just right for levels 61 - 66. Party: you, a Bishop/EE, two mass damage dealers.
- 66 - 74. Tower of Insolence floors 10-11. A full party is a must (by this level you should know who's in it). And by the way: whatever anyone tells you, the SWS IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE BD. What are 15% attack speed and 12% P. Atk. compared to +100% critical rate, especially if your weapon has the Focus SA and there are 2-3 Destroyers constantly keeping up Zealot, which raises critical rate.
- 66 - 74. An option for those who don't feel like gathering a party - Hot Springs. Leveling is good, but it's best to have the Majestic set, since the mobs stun; the Newbie Helper's buffs are enough.
- Generally, once you reach level 74 you can move on to active PvP, but don't forget that in this game you're nobody without the 3 class, so XP >>> everything. You're very close to Titan, so XP-XP-XP. And remember: the hardest part is ahead :)
- Saga of the Titan
Chapter 4
- So, level 76 reached, all the third class quests done. You're a Titan — or even a TITAN, or maybe even a Titan! Your hands will decide that.
- By this level you should already have a good clan that will help you get
Dynasty Crusher Rsk. Focus - Skill enchanting -
- Zealot - Time (at +30 it lasts 2 minutes, compared to +0 - 1 minute). And remember, young Olympian: Zealot is the one to enchant first!
- Crush of Doom - Duel (at +30 - 11500 power in PvP)
- Armor Crush - Chance
- Fatal Strike - Duel
- Battle Roar - Reuse.
- Hammer Crush - Chance
- By this level you should already have a good clan that will help you get
- Leveling spots.
- You'll go wherever your SP says. SP is a Const Party, i.e. your static group that you level with at the same time.
- Equipment
- 76-80.
- Budget option:
Draconic Leather Armor,
Heavens Divider Focus or
Dragon Hunter Axe Health.
- Ideally:
Dynasty Platinum Plate Weapon Master,
Dynasty Crusher Rsk. Focus.
- Jewelry too, either
Tateossian or
Dynasty.
- Budget option:
- 80-84. Here it depends on how your static party treats you. Ideally you'll get, in addition to the Crusher,
Icarus Heavy Arms Focus. Gear -
Moirai Breastplate; you can keep the old jewelry, and if you're unlucky, the ideal option from 76-80 will suit us fine. - 84+ gear:
-
Vesper Breastplate - I do NOT recommend it. The bonuses are as dull as ever. - STR+2, DEX-2, P. Atk./P. Def. +5,57%, Max HP +531, Sleep/Hold defense +70%.
-
Vorpal Breastplate - a tank set; I don't recommend it - STR-2. CON+2, P. Def. +8.47%, P. Atk. +5.57%, magic damage resistance +2%, Max HP +541, Speed +7, Accuracy +4, hold/sleep/bleed resistance +50%, Fire/Water/Wind/Earth defense +5.
- If you SUDDENLY got
Elegia Breastplate, congratulations. On Atlant, for example, as of August 2011 there were only 2 such sets. - STR+3, CON-2, P. Atk. +6,59%, Critical Rate +127, bleed/hold/sleep resistance +50%, magic damage resistance +2%, Max HP +550, Fire/Water/Wind/Earth defense +5, restores part of HP from damage dealt to the enemy.
- Weapon -
Vesper Slasher Focus or
Feather Eye Blade Focus. Basically the first one with an SA costs as much as the second without it, so spending on the Feather isn't worth it. http://linedia.com.ua/w/images/c/c2/Weapon_lavamond_saw_i01_0.jpg Lawa Saw Focus - the top S84 two-hander, purely for the rich :) - A polearm of S grade or higher. For example, in the throne room during a siege Earthquake, Wrath, Whirlwind can make quite a lot of noise, and you can knock various dagger users out of invisibility.
- Jewelry - it's simple here: the more epics, the better.
-
- By the way, about the attribute: insert Fire into the weapon (YOU ARE PAAGRIO'S CHILDREN!), or you can surprise everyone and insert Holy.
- 76-80.
Skills
I won't talk about the passives, since you need to learn all of them EXCEPT Fast HP Recovery, because it gets in the way of dropping HP for limit skills at the Olympiad.
- 1-40
- A useless skill. You can skip it.
- Vicious Stance A skill that increases critical damage. It levels up until the 3 class. It eats a lot of MP, but it's useful at the Olympiad. If you have nothing else to enchant, you can remember it.
- Battle Roar One of the Destroyer's most useful skills. At the last level it increases max HP by 35% and immediately restores it.
- Frenzy Now we get to the tastiest part. The thing that makes a Destroyer a Destroyer. At skill level 3 it gives: at <60% HP - +55% P. Atk. It was cut brutally in the latest chronicles. Back in Freya it gave + 197%. Cruel Koreans... Can be turned on at HP < 60%.
- Guts At least this beauty wasn't touched. +200% P. Def. Can be turned on
at HP < 30%.
- Lionheart Your mandatory self-buff in PvP. At skill level 3 it gives +80% resistance to all sorts of nasty things like the cheating Kamael's disarm, stun etc.
- Rage An excellent skill that gives as much as +55% P. Atk. and +2 accuracy, but -20% P. Def. and -3 evasion. We'll use it on cooldown to the very end.
- 40-76
- Fatal Strike Our main attack skill until level 60. Max power - 3553.
- Hummer Crush Commonly called "stun". Stuns the enemy for 9 seconds, but only works with a blunt in hand. Max power - 2411.
- Whirlwind A must-learn mass skill with a polearm. Hits in a 360-degree arc. Max power - 2740
- Crush of Doom Here it is! The great CoD! Max power - 7635. Put it next to Fatal Strike.
- Wrath Roughly the same as Whirlwind, but it works only in PvP and, when it triggers, takes off 30% of the enemy's CP. A very cool thing if a Tank, Berserker or other cheeky types go into UD, since it hits by percentage.
- Rush Instantly closes in on an enemy at a distance of 200-400. Added in the latest update and very useful against all sorts of mages, Tyrants, daggers, Kamael and so on.
- Zealot And here's our beloved Zealot! Its effects are something incredible - increases debuff resistance by 80%, buff removal resistance by 40%, Speed by 30. When using a sword/blunt/polearm/fists, Accuracy increases by 6 and Atk. Spd. by 20%; when using a sword/polearm, critical rate increases by 100; when using a blunt/fists, critical damage increases by 100%. Also reduces MP consumption for physical skills by 50%, and the power of HP-restoring skills by 50%. However, it can be used only if HP is < 30%. Still, the Berserker's disarm lands through Zealot + LH (Lionheart).
- Polearm Accuracy An aura for polearm accuracy. If you have plenty of MP, you can turn it on.
- War Frenzy Eats a lot of MP, but there's little use. Turn it on against dwarves, Berserkers, tanks and healers.
- 76-85
- Fortitude Increases resistance to stun/paralysis attacks by 30. A good thing. Better than War Frenzy, for example.
- Health Increases resistance to Poison and Bleeding by 20. Who needs it? Learn it only if you have lots of spare SP.
- Wisdom Increases resistance to Hold, Sleep and Mental Attacks by 20. Learn it without thinking.
- Armor Crush Deals an extra 3077 damage. Stuns the enemy for 9 sec., cuts P. Def. by 30% and M. Def. by 30%. Put it on a convenient key, since this is our new main PvP skill.
- Skill Mastery Gives a chance to use a skill without reuse or with doubled duration. Depends on STR. A good thing — it's nice when Frenzy lasts 3 minutes, right?
- BraveHeart Instantly restores 1000 CP. Not much, but something.
- Earthquake A polearm skill. Knocks sneaky invisible dagger users out of hide and can stun. Power - 4848.
- Parry Stance Uses the weapon to block attacks. Increases P. Def. by 25% and M. Def. by 25%, lowers Speed by 10%, Atk. Spd. by 20% and Accuracy by 4. An excellent aura against very strong enemies like Gladiators, Tyrants, Destroyers etc.
- Master of Combat A useless skill. You can skip it.
- Over the Body Something like a self Chant of Victory. Helps drop HP for limit skills. Releases fighting spirit, increasing Max HP by 35%, HP recovery speed by 15%, P. Atk. by 25%, P. Def. by 30%, Atk. Spd. by 10%, Speed by 10%. Can be used if CP is above 80%. Duration: 60 sec.
- Symbol of Resistance Creates a sigil that maximizes resistance to all kinds of attacks for everyone around. Applies to all targets in the area. The effect disappears if you leave the area. Consumes 1 Battle Symbol. Costs 150kk SP, so learn it last.
- Final Secret The equivalent of the mages' Arcane Power. Increases skill power and normal damage in PvP by 30%. Duration: 30 sec. No need to talk about how useful it is
- Fighter's Will A super passive. When using melee weapons, increases P. Atk. by 100 and Atk. Spd. by 10%. During attacks, physical skill power and critical rate increase.
- Archer's Will When using a bow or crossbow, increases Accuracy by 8 and range by 50. During attacks, physical skill power and critical rate increase. After all, this isn't C4, and we rarely pick up a bow. You can skip it.
- Expose Weak Point Gives flesh and takes bone. After taking an attack, reveals the enemy's weaknesses and lowers its P. Def. Also increases the chance of landing a critical hit with normal attacks. Definitely learn it.
- Protection of Rune Increases M. Def. by 15%. When the character takes damage, M. Def. and elemental resistance increase further. Definitely learn it!
- Protection of Elemental Increases elemental resistance by 20. When the character takes damage, M. Def. and elemental resistance increase further. Definitely learn it!
- Protection of Alignment Increases resistance to elements by 20. When the character takes damage, M. Def. and elemental resistance increase further. Definitely learn it!
- Rush Impact The same as the regular Rush, but with a bigger radius; it can stun and deals 4224 damage. Costs a lot of SP, but I advise learning it by heart and putting it on a convenient key.
- Demolition Impact A mass attack. Power - 7475. Costs too many Olympiad tokens to spend on it and has a long reuse. Learn it last.
Grand Olympiad
So you reached level 76, took a
Dynasty Crusher Rsk. Focus in your strong green hands, put on
Dynasty Platinum Plate Weapon Master, flew to the stadium and... fell from a cheeky backstab by an equally cheeky Treasure Hunter. How come? I'm the greatest of the orc warriors...
- The dominator's guide. Part 1. Limit skills.
Right now many Titans can't drop HP for limit skills and think they'll easily beat anyone at the Olympiad without them. In reality, limit skills are a 95% guarantee of success; you must be able to turn them on without any trouble.
- So, here's the guide:
- 1. Teleport to the arena in
Draconic Leather Armor, holding Homunkulus Sword Conversion; take Acumen from the Olympiad Manager for casting speed. - 2. Take
Staff of Evil Spirits Blessed Body, put on
Dark Crystal Robe, cast Blessing of Noblesse on yourself until you see Blessed Body appear in your buffs. (be sure to buy and turn on B-grade blessed spiritshots). - 3. Take
Heavy War Axe Health, put on
Doom Plate Armor.
- 4. Use the Over the Body. skill
- 5. When you see your HP "flashing", it means it's 30% or less. Turn on Zealot, Guts/Frenzy (depending on who's against you, a fighter or a mage).
- 6. Get the buff you need from the Olympiad Manager
- 7. Go punish! :)
I'll soon add short tactics against different classes. Not saying goodbye
- The dominator's guide. Part 2. Fights against classes.
- Dagger users (Adventurer, Wind Rider, Ghost Hunter)
Consider this: if the first backstab didn't kill you, victory is in our hands. Going in under Guts + Zealot is strictly mandatory, otherwise we may fall without even swinging. Remember that all daggers are easy to stun, so Armor Crush on cooldown. And in general hit with skills more often, since their accuracy is waaay higher than that of normal hits. Against a TH, take off Frintezza (if you have it) when he turns on Mirage. Since this necklace has a built-in reflect effect, you'll drop your own target 3 times more often.
- Fighters
- Dreadnought. Probably the simplest of all fighters. The tactics are simple: Guts + Zealot; turn on the self Lionheart a second before the fight starts, because they'll try ferociously to stun you. The key word is "try".
- Duelist. GLADIS RULE YO!!1!1 There seems to be a stereotype that Gladiators are rubbish and so on. That's just a stereotype; a truly skilled Duelist will easily kite your limits (it became especially easy in High Five, where columns appeared in the stadiums) and take you out like a hot-water bottle, since his skills crit just INSANELY. There's a good side too - such skilled Gladiators are about 1 in 100, so if you get yet another idiot, then Guts + Zealot, hit, hit, hit, victory.
- Titan. Here gear and Zealot's enchant level will decide almost everything. Try to turn on the limit skills as late as possible; the main thing is not to hit with skills (Armor Crush will never land through Zealot + Lionheart) and not to use the "Rage" skill — it will do us a disservice by cutting P. Def. heavily. Guts + Zealot, and Paagrio be with you.
- Grand Khavatari. At first glance the class looks like a Gladiator, and the advantage is usually on our side, especially if the Tyrant is in light armor; they also have Zealot. Guts + Zealot, and Paagrio be with you. Problems can only arise if they're in heavy armor under Rabbit, since they'll have enough P. Def. to outlast the limit skills, so rush on cooldown.
- Dwarves. I really don't know how you could lose to a dwarf. Frenzy + Zealot, anti-stun auras, hit, hit, hit, victory.
- Doombringer. And here he is! How I hate Berserkers; I hate it when their UD crits and lasts a whole minute, I hate it when I kill myself on their reflect, I hate it when they restore full HP while I run around without a weapon. I hate Berserkers! But in general they can be killed (yes, yes), but only if Zealot is enchanted to at least +15; that's enough to wait out UD and pick at the bird himself too. The tactic is to stun the Berserker by any means and run to the farthest corner of the stadium, and again, until his UD runs out. Be sure to watch for his reflect cast (a pink second wing appears for a second) and, well, run. Good luck, guys.
- Soul Hound The situation is even worse than with the Berserker. Honestly, you'll never beat a skilled SB. But there's one cunning plan: first buff the limits (Frenzy + Zealot), then the NPC buffs, then all sorts of useless junk like fisherman potions, and last of all (right before the fight starts) - the Red Talisman of Meditation. When the bird steals this talisman, it'll lose almost all its P. Def. and won't be able to do anything. Rush, hit, victory. By the way, there's no way the bird will fall for this trick twice in a row, and in general with them you need practice rather than reading guides, since the class is very unpredictable. Good luck, guys.
- Archers Pff. Frenzy + Zealot, rush, hit, hit, hit, victory. Only an Arbalester might cause trouble, so play it safe and turn on Guts against them.
- Healers Nothing special either — the Destroyer isn't a class that depends much on MP. Frenzy + Zealot, hit, hit, hit, victory.
- Summoners. Now this is where problems may arise. The thing is, summoners are a class that can tune its creature very flexibly, and who knows what to turn on: Frenzy or Guts, whom to hit: the master or the summon. Mostly, summoners now use tactics where the best choice is Guts + Zealot and hitting the master. If you have the UD talisman, you can also take down the creature; overall you should have enough DPS.
- Mages Not a very hard opponent: Fear won't land through Zealot, and the UD talisman should protect you from ferocious nukes under Arcane Power. Against mages you can swap epic jewelry for top jewelry like Vesper. Outlast Arcane Power only if you don't have a UD talisman.
- Necromancer. A necro is a bit harder than regular mages, since he has Transfer Pain, which greatly increases the enemy's survivability. The UD talisman is a must, because you simply won't manage to kill the zombie and also catch the necro; if you don't have the talisman, we hope for luck :D and hit only the necro himself; who knows, maybe a crit will land o_O.
