Lyrics
No race has as much inner energy as this one. What's closer to you? Perhaps the unrivaled grace of seduction: languid curves, a voluptuous figure, a narrow waist and the eyes of a femme fatale, or the well-built silhouette of a fighter whose body is a weave of muscle and cold fearlessness? In any case, dark skin, the night and the magic of the goddess Shilen will be your companions until the end of this world's ages. You have to love this race with all your being: you simply must admire your sexy chosen one or be wholly proud of your haughty dark knight, and never, ever doubt your choice. Dark elves are a play style, an image and charisma.

- In the early stages it's better to level solo as a mage (unless, of course, you started playing in a group); don't waste time looking for random parties. I also strongly recommend doing the pet quest and leveling the pet:
- if you prefer solo play or your online time is short and irregular - Get a Pet
- if you're serious about playing this class - Help the Son!, it will come in handy more than once.

- from 35 to 40 - Death Pass on undead x2.

- Leveling:
- Leveling solo becomes difficult; it is best to find a party/mage friend, but still:
- start at the Battleground and move on to the Blazing Swamp and the Forest of the Dead
- Party with a mage - 60s: Valley of Saints; 70s: Blazing Swamp and the Forest of the Dead; the spot right outside the town of Goddard is also good.
- Fighter party - either catacombs or LoA (Antharas' Lair).

- Leveling:
- Leveling solo is already very hard, but if you like it, your way leads to Varka/Ketra, the Hot Springs, Crystal Island (Isle of Prayer) or Dino Island.
- A calm and relaxed place to level 73-78 is the third Pailaka. The walls go down easily with an AoE nuke in Inquisitor, the dragon dies without much trouble while spamming the free QHP, no MP problems, plenty of herbs. Naturally, don't turn in the quest until ~77.80%. Instance reuse - 4 hours.
- In a mage party - Forge of the Gods, Crystal Island (Isle of Prayer), Primeval Isle.
- 80+ in Tully on Hellbound.

Subclass skills
The main class can get 4 skills from each subclass, 12 skills in total from 3 subclasses. I recommend taking these skills:
- your choice, from Counter Spirit to Mana Steal
Skill transfer
You need
4 Holy Pomander - Shillien Saint; you get them by obtaining the third class. The task is simple: get to the Dark Elven guild, which is in every town, and go to your Skill Master.
- Click "Learn about skill tokens" (skill token - Skill Link)
- Then "Put the skill token into the case"
- And here you may run into confusion — "Where are my books for taking the skills?" It's very simple: if you got the third class BEFORE Gracia Plus, your items will be either in the warehouse or in your own bag.
- If the update has already happened and you haven't got the third class yet, know this: when you get the class, you'll be given the 4 items I mentioned at the start of the guide.
- If all 4 skills are already chosen and it turns out you took the wrong ones — no worries, the same 10kk fixes it instantly.
- Go to the same master and click the same token Information
- they take 10kk from us, and in return we get 4 books.
- So Bishops and Elven Elders have to pay 10kk to change one skill, while we dark-skinned ones pay the same 10kk for 4 skills. Finally our day has come.
- Attention: when resetting skills, ALL four skills are reset!!!
These 4 skills let you make your own unique Shillien Elder build. I'll highlight three options:
- PvE
- Major Heal
- Major Group Heal
- Clarity
- any to your taste; my advice - Party Recall
- PvP
- Major Heal
- Major Group Heal
- Magical Backfire
- Mass Resurrection
- Olly
- Major Heal
- Resist Shock
- Magical Backfire
- also any skill, from BGH and Celestial to Mana Storm.
PvP
- And don't forget to run! That's the basics; the nuances and subtleties of the game come with experience.
- Also wear a shield in PvP; it gives far more than a sigil.
Olympiad
C with the appearance of the skill link, we can become, if not a serious Olympiad farmer, then the terror of all the mid-tier players. It's important to understand that a serious approach to the Olympiad needs a level close to the top, heavily enchanted skills and gear close to the top (a set of unique items, enchanted armor, and a weapon with a nuke, or better two). It's also useful to have several sets with different attributes to switch depending on the opponent. The tactic for most fights is the same - burn their MP and nuke them with LSs.
Basic tactics
Talismans
At the Olympiad these talismans may come in handy:
-
Blue Talisman - Divine Protection - useful against all classes -
Red Talisman of Maximum Clarity - lets you use skills without MP. Useful for long fights with tanks/supports. -
Black Talisman of Vocalization - removes Silence; against mages and Kamael. - Blue Talisman - Buff Steal - especially useful against tanks and Destroyers/Tyrants, also very useful against other classes
- Blue Talisman - Buff Cancel - especially useful against tanks and Destroyers/Tyrants, also very useful against other classes
-
White Talisman of Bravery - sleep resistance; against supports with Trance -
White Talisman of Freedom - root resistance; against tanks -
White Talisman of Grounding - stun resistance; against tanks, Berserkers, archers, dwarves -
White Talisman of Motion - paralysis resistance; against Soul Breakers, Necromancers and Shillien Knights
