Monsters in Heine No monsters found.
Heine is rightly considered the most beautiful town on the continent, and it also stands out for having the most talkative residents. Before moving on to describing the town and its pressing problems, I'll outline its history.
Long ago, some Elf left their village for distant lands, fearing the war that was flaring up on the borders of their homeland. After long wanderings, they came to the lands of Innadril and immediately fell in love with the mild climate and warm waters of these lands. In the year 1200, Hierarch Teresien, the leader of the Elves, decided to found a town on the shores of Lake Innadril that would rival, and even surpass, Elven Village in beauty. The town was named Heine, and very soon word of it spread far and wide. Later the great migration of the Elves began, and the town grew and became more beautiful every year. The humans living nearby called the arriving elves "fairies of the lake", and from then on lived with the elves as good neighbors. In the southern part of Heine the Elves built the Temple of Eva with a harbor, and in the north Human raised the Temple of Einhasad, so the town was under the special care of the gods.
In those days, Humans and Elves freely married each other, so today Elven blood flows in the veins of many inhabitants of Innadril, and that's why Humans in this region live longer and are more attractive than elsewhere.
For a long time only joy and peace filled the hearts of Heine's residents; the best poets and musicians in the kingdom worked here, and the finest wines were made right here. But a few decades ago a great disaster struck, which brought a series of misfortunes that changed the town's life forever.
The Water Dragon Fafurion, sleeping in the sea, awoke and began to terrorize the people of Innadril. His army was a horde of golems, which the Dragon sent against the settlements of innocent people. But in the town lived a young hero who challenged Fafurion and defeated his horde of golems. The hero's name was Leonel the Hunter. According to legend, he managed to deal Fafurion a terrible wound, after which the enraged monster roared and cursed every stone in Innadril. No one knows for certain how exactly Leonel defeated the Dragon, but after his heroic campaign Fafurion fell asleep again. Eva was so grateful for this that she gave him a sword. Since then the Sword of the Goddess has been the symbol of Innadril and appears on the town's coat of arms.
Unfortunately, the sword recently disappeared, and no one knows where it is now…
But now new troubles worry Heine's residents. Strange events have begun happening in the Temple of Eva, defiled by Fafurion. They say creatures wishing to wake the Water Dragon again have settled there. And in the caves of Devil's Isle the terrible ghost of Zaken was recently seen — a pirate who terrorized the southern seas with his cruel raids several hundred years ago.
So today Heine's residents live in fear and danger, and the town no longer draws crowds the way it used to.
Heine is divided by waterways into districts connected by bridges. Boat trips, especially at night, are very popular here. In the north-western district you'll find shops and smithies; the guilds are in the north-east. The central district has the town square, the temples and the warehouse.
Even the stern Kamael bow before the town's beauty. Ferdinand says the landscape of Innadril bewitches and intoxicates him. But Dark Elf has a different opinion of the town. "This place is disgusting! It makes me sick! These idiotic Elves scratching silly platitudes on every free bit of wall" — Brikus. Arti mentions that many thieves, drawn by the wealth of the locals, have appeared in the town. The Reed Field is their nest, from which they openly raid trade caravans. And indeed, on the southern side of Heine stands Dorothy, whose talk gives away that he's one of these thieves.
Fishermen's Guild member Litulon says Heine is the most ideal place for fishing in all of Elmoreden. "The weather is always lovely, and the fish practically jump onto your hook!"
Interestingly, the Orc who live here came to these lands to save the locals. Namely, in the words of Shitara: "To prepare the arrogant elves and feeble humans for the Eternal Winter".
Morelyn, who lives in the Temple of Eva, says she is the goddess's eyes and ears in these lands. Morelyn was given the ability to see in the Temple's waters everything that happens in Innadril. Her main concern is watching what Fafurion and his minions are plotting.
Cruise. I'd also like to say a few words about the cruise that Nedy offers completely free of charge. The cruise shows sights such as the outskirts of Heine, the entrance to Garden of Eva, Devil's Isle and Innadril Castle. Impressed? Unfortunately, neither was I. All I can note is that while sailing around Devil's Isle you can see Beleth's Iron Fortress on Hellbound. But during the cruise I noticed an empty piece of land east of Innadril Castle. As soon as I saw it, I jumped off the ship and started swimming toward that deserted land. Hitting an invisible barrier, my level 6 elf choked with a satisfied look on her face and gave up the ghost. Perhaps this land is just an oversight by the developers when shaping the lands of Innadril, but it might also suggest that something is planned there (an island with Fafurion, perhaps?)
Unfortunately, there are no Clan Hall in Heine. Although the town has three unused buildings of the same shape, and two more of a slightly different size.
