Note! To start this quest, you must first complete the quests:

Quest walkthrough

  1. Talk to Priest Benedict in Rune Township . Show him G graduation cap blue 0 Suspicious Totem Doll, and he will ask you to give it to him. Refuse. Ask about the true nature of the doll.
  2. Then he will tell you to talk to High Priest Agripel (standing nearby). High Priest Agripel is ready to give anything in exchange for the doll. He will explain that this doll is sacred to him.
  3. He will give you Etc stone gray i00 0 Gemstone Key and tell you to return to Mysterious Wizard .
  4. With the key you need to open one particular Broken Bookshelf in the forest. There are 4 of them in total, and with Etc sword body i00 0 Map: Forest of the Dead you can find out where they are.
  5. Open the cabinet; the monster Triol's Pawn (lv. 43) appears, and you must kill it. You will receive another G graduation cap blue 0 Suspicious Totem Doll. Use the key on the little box and you will find Etc sword body i00 0 Contract.
  6. After midnight, return to the maid Maid of Lidia . Read the Contract, and you will learn that it is a contract between the Devil, Hardin (Nidrah when read backwards) and Lord of the Forest of the Dead. Talk to Maid of Lidia again.
  7. Go and find the grave of Tombstone. It's easiest to get there along the southern edge of the forest; there are practically no monsters there. Examine her coffin — the coffin is empty!!! At the bottom lies only a small scrap of a dress.
  8. Return to Maid of Lidia. She will ask to be left alone for a while. She will ask you to wait several times. Keep clicking until the quest continues. Ask her about the Etc stone gray i00 0 Lidia's Dress you found in the empty grave. The maid will say that Rose wore the dress to save Lidia's life. Apparently Rose used to be in the grave. You will learn about the contract, how Lord of the Dead was created, and how Lidia was deceived. The maid is Lidia herself!
  9. Return to Mysterious Wizard and listen to his story.
  10. Go to High Priest Agripel and hear the other details of this story. After a long tale, he will let you choose whom to go to for the reward:
