Quest walkthrough
- Talk to Magister Ladd
on floor 4 of Ivory Tower
; he will ask you to bring pure alchemical silver
Pure Silver. - Go down to the basement (Undegraund floor) of Ivory Tower.
- If you haven't taken the quest Supplier of Reagents, talk to Magic Trader Wesley
, take the quest and receive the
Wesley's Mixing Stone we need. - If you have taken the quest, you already have Wesley's Mixing Stone.
- We will also need:
100 Moonstone Shard
10 Volcanic Ash
2 Quicksilver
- All of this drops in the quest Supplier of Reagents in Blazing Swamp. You need to hunt Hames Orc Shaman (Lv. 33) (casts a debuff - root). The shamans drop
Quicksilver and
Reagent Pouch. - Opening
Reagent Pouch randomly gives
Moonstone Shard, or
2 Volcanic Ash, or
2 Quicksilver, or
Lava Stone.
- If you haven't taken the quest Supplier of Reagents, talk to Magic Trader Wesley
- Near Wesley (Undeground floor Ivory Tower), by the central column, there is a large urn Alchemist's Mixing Urn
. We will make various alchemical preparations in it. - It works like this: first put Mixing Stone into it, then the required amount of reagent, then the required amount of catalyst. Then set the heating temperature of the mixture and start the device. The higher the temperature, the more items you can make, but the higher the risk of losing (burning) all the reagents. So in every case we will use the first temperature (salamander). The success chance is then 100%. Only once will you need to set temperature 3, when brewing the Mimir's Elixir itself, as the quest requires.
- First you need to make
10 Moon Dust
- To do this, put in Mixing Stone,
10 Moonstone Shard,
Volcanic Ash, temperature 1, and mix. You get
Moon Dust. Repeat 9 more times to get
10 Moon Dust.
- To do this, put in Mixing Stone,
- Next we have to make
Lunargent - To do this, put in Mixing Stone,
10 Moon Dust,
Quicksilver, temperature 1, and mix. You get Lunargent.
- To do this, put in Mixing Stone,
- Now brew
Pure Silver
- Put in Mixing Stone,
Lunargent,
Quicksilver, temperature 1, and mix. Now we have what we need.
- Put in Mixing Stone,
- Go up to floor 4 to Magister Ladd. Show Pure Silver and you will learn that you also need a piece of pure alchemical gold
True Gold. - Go down to floor 3 and find Magister Joan
. She will ask you to go to Silent Valley
and hunt Chimera Piece (Lv. 57) (under the bridges of The Giant's Cave, social). - Since the The Giant's Cave
location changed in the Epilogue update, Chimera Piece (Lv. 57) monsters must now be found in Silent Valley
, and the monster itself became solitary, passive and non-social, and looks like a glowing orb instead of a sabertooth tiger. You can fight it in a party; the last hit matters for getting
Philosopher's Stone.
- Since the The Giant's Cave
- Return to Magister Joan on floor 3 of Ivory Tower, give her Philosopher's Stone and receive a piece of pure alchemical gold True Gold in exchange.
- Show Magister Ladd to True Gold on floor 4 of Ivory Tower and receive
Magister's Mixing Stone (on some servers you may get nothing at this point of the quest). - We need one more reagent,
Blood Fire, which can only be obtained in the Dragon's Lair Antharas' Lair
. Go and hunt Bloody Guardian (Lv. 32). To get Blood Fire you must land the last hit on Bloody Guardian. - Since the Dragon Valley
location was completely changed in the High Five update, you will have to look for Bloody Guardian (Lv. 32) monsters in Watcher's Tomb
.
- Since the Dragon Valley
- Return to Ivory Tower as soon as you get Blood Fire.
- Go to Alchemist's Mixing Urn
(Underground floor) and use all the reagents you collected:
Pure Silver,
True Gold,
Blood Fire… Once you have these three items, the quest will offer a separate option to put in all the reagents, or you will be asked to put them in one by one. Use degree 3 for the brew; this is a quest condition. You receive
Mimir's Elixir - Magister Ladd (on floor 4 of Ivory Tower) will tell you how to use Mimir's Elixir. Only after you talk to her should
Mimir's Elixir disappear from your inventory, and the quest will be complete. As a reward you receive
Scroll: Enchant Weapon (A-grade) and the ability to change your character's class.
