Thanks to the miraculous medicine, Mushika recovers from his illness. But he is more worried about the strange events occurring on the island than about his own health. He asks for your help in obtaining the epitaph he needs to discover the cause. It may be found at the ancient stone monument located near the Lost Nest.

  1. The Elroki Tribe's Dilemma
    • Target: Mushika
    • Chief Mushika believes his illness is somehow connected with the Lost Nest. He asks you to help with his investigation, since the future of the whole Elroki tribe may depend on its results.
  2. By the Power of Shamanism!
    • Target: Karakawei
    • Mushika believes the Elroki tribe is threatened by something living in the Lost Nest. He wants to seek advice from the shaman Karakawei and asks you to talk to him.
  3. Special Ritual
    • Target: Lost Nest
    • Karakawei wants to seek the advice of the spirits of the ancient Elroki. For the ritual he needs the bones and claws of certain dinosaurs. Find them for him.

      Hunting targets: Ornithomimus, Deinonychus.
  4. Ritual Ingredients
    • Target: Karakawei
    • You have gathered all the Ornithomimus Claws and Deinonychus Bones needed for the ritual. Give the ingredients to Karakawei so he can begin the ceremony.
  5. Find the Stone Statue!
    • Target: Ulu Kaimu
    • Thanks to Karakawei's ritual, you have learned the location of the stone statue and the means of communicating with it. Speak to the stone about the relic that Mushika gave you.
  6. Balu Kaimu
    • Target: Balu Kaimu
    • Ulu Kaimu confirmed that it is an ancient Pillar of Wisdom, but it does not possess full information about the relic. It tells you to find its kin, another Pillar named Balu Kaimu, and seek knowledge about the relic there.
  7. Chuta Kaimu
    • Target: Chuta Kaimu
    • Balu Kaimu was also unable to tell you much about the ancient relic. It does, however, tell you about Chuta Kaimu, yet another Pillar of Wisdom and suggests you show it the relic.
  8. Outsider of Fate
    • Target: Mushika
    • Chuta Kaimu informs you that the relic is a fragment of an ancient Elrokian weapon. It asks you to take an Epitaph of Wisdom back to the Elrokian chief Mushika.

    • Mushika believes that a danger to the Elroki lurks within the Lost Nest. He says that he needs the help of the Elrokian shaman Karakawei and asks you to go and meet with him.
  3. Special Ritual
    • Target: Lost Nest
    • Shaman Karakawei is preparing a special ritual to call forth the souls of the ancient Elrokians. To perform the ritual, he needs you to hunt certain dinosaurs and bring back their bones and claws.

Quest walkthrough

  1. Talk to Mushika in Primeval Isle . He believes his illness is somehow connected with Lost Nest. He asks you to help with his investigation, since the future of the whole Elroki tribe may depend on its results. He wants to seek advice from the shaman Karakawei and asks you to talk to him.
  2. Talk to Karakawei . Karakawei wants to seek the advice of the spirits of the ancient Elroki. For the ritual he needs the bones and claws of certain dinosaurs. Find them for him.
  3. Go to Primeval Plains and kill:
  4. Return to Karakawei and give him the items. Thanks to Karakawei's ritual, you now know where the stone statue is and how to activate it. Go to it and find out everything you can.
  5. Go to Lost Nest . Talk to Ulu Kaimu there. He's roughly north of the center of Primeval Isle. When the "Try to enter the first letter of the ancient word" dialog window appears, choose the following letters: t e p u. Ulu Kaimu doesn't know everything about the relic. He advises you to find his kinsman, Balu Kaimu, and ask him.
  6. Talk to Balu Kaimu. He's south-east of the center of Primeval Isle. When the "Try to enter the first letter of the ancient word" dialog window appears, choose the following letters: t o o n. Unfortunately, Balu Kaimu can't help you either, but advises you to turn to Chuta Kaimu. Why not follow his advice?
  7. Talk to Chuta Kaimu. He's roughly south-west of the center of Primeval Isle. When the "Try to enter the first letter of the ancient word" dialog window appears, choose the following letters: w a g u. According to Chuta Kaimu, the relic is part of an ancient Elrokian weapon. He asks you to take Etc lesser potion green i00 0 Epitaph of Wisdom to Mushika.
  8. Talk to Mushika. You'll get a reward and access to the next quest, The Name of Evil - 2.
