Basic information
Treasure Chests can be found in most "Field"-type hunting zones in Lineage 2.
- How to find a treasure chest
Treasure chests range from level 21 to level 84. There are 22 types of chests in total, 1 type for every 3 levels. Chests are found in almost all zones above level 20, but their number has been greatly reduced. To find a chest more easily, create a macro /target Treasure Chest.
- What to open a treasure chest with
All the keys that existed in the game before the High Five update no longer open treasure chests; you can sell them to any merchant NPC. Now, to open chests you need the item Key or the skill
Unlock. The Master's Key is sold in the shops of all settlements, or it can be summoned with the skill
Summon Treasure Key. Treasure chests can turn up completely unexpectedly, so always keep a Master's Key at hand. A treasure chest cannot be killed.
- Opening a treasure chest
When you find a treasure chest and try to open it with an item or a skill, there are two possible outcomes:
- The chest opens and you get a great reward.
- The chest explodes and can deal quite serious damage to the character.
The chance to get a reward is greatly reduced in the following cases:
- For characters below level 77, the chance to get a reward is greatly reduced if the level difference with the chest is 6 levels or more.
- For characters above level 78, the chance to get a reward is greatly reduced if the level difference with the chest is 5 levels or more.
