Mail system

The Gracia Plus update introduced a new mail system that replaced the old item transfer system and added the ability to send mail to characters who aren't in the game.
Types of mail
There are 2 types of mail:
- Regular mail - Sending a message with or without attachments. The recipient just clicks the message icon (it appears in the lower left corner of the screen above the chat window when mail arrives). The sender pays for messages of this type.
- Secure trade - Sending a parcel cash-on-delivery. The message states the price of the item or items, and the recipient can either pay the stated amount to receive these items or decline them.

The mailbox interface
To open the mailbox, use the /mailbox command or the "Mail" item in the main menu (Alt+X).
- "Received" tab. Letters received by the character.
- "Sent" tab. Letters sent to other characters. The interface repeats the "Received" tab
- "Select all" checkbox. Selects all letters on the page. Unread messages won't be included in the selection.
- Mail sorting fields. By default the last received letter is shown first, but they can be sorted by the fields:
- Type If the message has an attachment, there'll be a paperclip icon here; if the message was sent cash-on-delivery, there'll also be a lock image.
- Sender/Recipient The name of the sender or recipient, depending on the tab.
- Topic Message subject.
- Action Regular mail is kept for 15 days. Messages with paid attachments are kept for 12 hours.
- Message list.
- "Delete" button. Select and delete a message. A message with an attachment can't be deleted.
- Moving between pages of the mail list.
- "Send" button. To create a new message.
Sending mail
To open the mailbox, use the /mailbox command or the "Mail" item in the main menu (Alt+X). Press the "Send" button. You can attach items to the letter; you can use at most 8 slots for sending items (e.g. 50 units of one resource take 1 slot, while identical armor pieces, for example gloves, each take a separate slot). The parcel price changes depending on the total weight of the attached items. You can send and receive mail only when not in combat. 30 seconds pass between sending and receiving mail; if you change your mind about sending a message, you can delete it using the "Sent" tab of the mail interface.

- Letter body:
- Recipient. The recipient character's name.
- Message type. Regular mail or Secure trade
- Subject. The message subject.
- Content. The message text.
- Attachments. The lower part shows inventory items that can be sent by mail. Drag them into the attachment slots (at most 8); when dragging you'll be asked to enter the quantity to send. The center shows the parcel weight and its cost (base fee:
100 adena; parcel with attachments:
1 000 adena per attachment slot ) - Parcel price. The field is available if the message type is "Secure trade". Press the arrow button and enter the parcel price.
Receiving mail
When a character receives mail, an envelope appears in the lower left corner; click it to open the received message. If the weight of the attachments exceeds the character's weight limit, the attachments can't be taken. If the parcel price exceeds the character's cash, the letter can't be opened. If the character has enough adena to pay for the parcel, the adena will be sent to the sender when the letter is opened.

Clearing the mailbox. Deleting letters
- If the letter had no attachments and has already been read, it can be deleted.
- A letter with attachments can be returned to the sender, but it can't be deleted while it still has attachments
- A "Secure trade" letter can be returned to the sender without paying; such a letter can't be deleted.
- If a letter with attachments isn't read within 15 days, it is returned to the sender.
- If a letter is returned and has attachments, it's deleted automatically after 15 days, and all attachments are moved to the character's warehouse.
- If a "Secure trade" letter isn't paid for within 12 hours, it's automatically returned to the sender.
