Quest Into the Flames

Vulcan is collecting flames in the lower level of the Forge of the Gods. He'll give you a special reward if you defeat all the monsters there and bring him the flames that you collect.

  1. Get the Vacualite
    • Target: Blacksmith Hilda
    • Klein says you must have a set of floating stones to enter the Flame Pass. You can create the set of floating stones with vacualite. Speak with Blacksmith Hilda in the Town of Goddard to obtain vacualite.
  2. Obtain the Ore
    • Target: Garden of Beasts
    • To smelt Vacualite you need 50 pieces of Vacualite Ore. It can be obtained in the Garden of Beasts.

      Hunting targets: Kookaburra, Bandersnatch, Grendel.
  3. Return to Blacksmith Hilda
    • Target: Blacksmith Hilda
    • You've collected the Vacualite ore you need. Return to Blacksmith Hilda in the Town of Goddard.
  4. Return to Klein
    • Target: Valakas Watchman Klein
    • You've got the vacualite. Return to Klein at the Forge of the Gods.

    • Klein says you must have a set of floating stones to enter the Flame Pass. You can create the set of floating stones with vacualite. Speak with Blacksmith Hilda in the Town of Goddard to obtain vacualite.
  2. Obtain the Ore
    • Target: Garden of Beasts
    • You need Vacualite ore to make Vacualite. Hunt monsters in the Garden of Beasts and collect 50 Vacualite ore. Monsters to be hunted - Kookaburras, Bandersnatch and Grendels
  3. Return to Blacksmith Hilda
    • Target: Blacksmith Hilda
    • You've collected the Vacualite ore you need. Return to Blacksmith Hilda in the Town of Goddard.
  4. Return to Klein
    • Target: Valakas Watchman Klein
    • You've got the vacualite. Return to Klein at the Forge of the Gods.

Quest walkthrough

Route map from the entrance to Klein
  1. The quest is taken inside Forge of the Gods from Klein . On the way to him there'll be lots of high-level aggressive mobs, so it's best to go there under the Shadow Move dance from Bladedancer or the similar Silent Move of daggers.
  2. After you've taken the quest, use SoE to Town of Goddard . Go to the forge and talk to Hilda .
  3. You need to farm Etc jewel red i00 050 Vacualite Ore from the mobs Kookaburra (lv. 32), Bandersnatch (lv. 32) and Grendel (lv. 32), which live around Town of Goddard . These are 1/2 hp mobs.
  4. Return to Hilda and talk to her. She'll give you Etc jewel red i00 0 Vacualite.
  5. Go to Klein again. He'll turn it into Br valentine cookie i00 0 Vacualite Floating Stone. This stone is needed for the teleport to the slope behind Klein , which leads to Hall of Flames . Going through it, you'll find Heart of Volcano, which will move you to Valakas' Lair .
